Thanks @DooGie.
When GeForce Experience was running in the system tray, it would always tell me about a new driver, not that they got rid of the systray icon. it doesn't, and you need to open GeForce to do it.
As a side comment, The NVIDIA driver updates, are the only updates, that I trust to select "Express Install":)
Quite a jump from 385.69 to 387.92. That's even past the 387.87 on Insider Preview that so many had been complaining about.
My Sky Diver result was 8,000 points lower with the new driver so I went back to 385.69 for the time being.
But I`m installing Shadow of War, so I'll give each driver a chance.
I think I may have discovered a fix for a "bug" in the 387.X" drivers. The boost clock will not throttle back down when the graphics card is idle. It seems that there may be a conflict of some sorts between the 387 series drivers and the Intel Ethernet drivers from MSI (Intel_Network_skl 22.4.16.0). I rolled the Ethernet drivers back to the default Microsoft drivers and no further throttling issues. Would be great if anybody else could confirm this.
