Always use it to remove all the previous unneeded components and streamline the installer. There are lots of components that I don't need like the Audio Driver, GeForce experience and so on... (I am not a big gamer). I only need the driver for my Display Adapter. After that, I always take care of disabling telemetry in different folders and in "Services". It has always worked for me that way.

    Cheers!

I always used to do that manually but the last few installs I've used NVSlimmer to do it

A matter of choice, depending on what one wants.

I'm going to upgrade my GPU to either a RTX 2070 or a RTX 2060 Super. I do both gaming and Adobe based photo editing. How do you choose the best driver to install? Are there any drawbacks in using the studio driver for gaming?

If you go with the 2070 make sure it's the Super as that super-ceded the non Super version and should be more affordable too.

In terms of performance / price ratio, the order remains 2060, 2060 Super, 2070, 2070 Super.
