So, what's the consensus with this driver over 425.31?
I'm on 19H1 but use 1080ti so most games run better with dx11 on pascal.
Fixed my nvdisplay.container.exe high CPU usage by deleting the following folders,
C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Display.NvContainer\plugins\LocalSystem\DisplayDriverRAS
C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\DisplayDriverRAS
Use task manager to shutdown nvdisplay.container.exe and let it restart.
Seems like the added telemetry plugin "DisplayDriverRAS" is locking up and causing high cpu usage in nvdisplay.container.exe...

Not much on a modern 4/8 4.00 GHz+ CPU, but DX12 will alleviate that bottleneck on my lower clocked 5820k by utilizing 6/12 of my cpu/threads instead. Marrakech and Mumbai are the most CPU intensive maps in the game so that's where DX12 is really good.
Unfortunately I get crashes in DX11 now aswell. This driver messed something up in Hitman 2. I can play for a second in DX12 before it crashes, while DX11 plays for maybe a few minutes before freezing. What's really annoying is that part of the game is still running in the background and won't shut down unless I restart the computer. Do you see the same behavior?
Regarding the high cpu usage for nvcontainer.exe:

They still haven't acknowledged or mentioned the Hitman 2 bug though. If you could @swarfega I would appreciated it if you filled this driver survey so we can get this higher on the priority list. I am afraid this will be an ongoing issue going forward if they don't acknowledge it, and it's going to be annoying for Hitman fans once Windows 1903 hits public PCs in May because of WDDM 2.6 support and without an official fix.
I gave up on 430.39. The spin-your-brains-out after wake was too much to deal with. Back on 425.31. I do use the sleep mode often, even though it's a DT. If I'm gonna be away from it for more than an hour, I put it to sleep. I have the LAN "wake-on" options disabled, so no pings-of-mischief get thru. Reason I use sleep instead on just turning it off is I want more or less instant access when I get back, and don't want to wait for all the stuff that needs to/should run at login to get done. Sleep, also, for the same reason I don't leave a 125W light on in my office when I leave.
I haven't had any sleep/wake problems or high CPU usage since removing the telemetry plugin. Been running 430.39 smooth for 2 days now...
Others on the guru3d and geforce forums have also said removing this plugin fixed the high CPU usage for them.
People should still avoid this driver.
Surprised they haven't removed them from their site yet.
