Could you let me know if you see an improvement in Dx11? I'd hate to run an elusive target in May and all of the sudden the game crashes. I will change to Dx11 if it's stable there instead in the meanwhile. If it's unstable anywhere I will be upset.

Good question. I believe VRS are RTX, Navi etc, but background shaders are maybe just in general? The requirement only list Windows 19H1 and an enabling driver for background shaders, doesn't seem to mention RTX.

Your desktop images are flickering? Is it a static image or do you run slideshows? I've never seen that before, but I only use the standard Windows 10 image as background. If it only happens on the image and not anywhere else - ruling out hardware/cable issue - maybe it could be something else. Do you run any other software in the background that has access to them? Or with a different format? You should make a thread about it, maybe someone here knows what it means.
Slideshow from a Windows Theme, any theme. If it happens at all, it's most likely to happen about 5-10 seconds after a new image has faded in. Very brief.

Ah, I don't use that feature so I don't know. I would go nuts if I saw it though. It's probably harmless. Maybe it's compression kicking in? Random per pic, or consistent?

Totally random. If I asked in other threads, I would get the answer that it's the crappy Micron memory in my 1080Ti Not gonna fret over it, just an annoyance. Thanks for your replies, though.

Most Micron memory runs excellent TC ....it was just the 1st ones they used in the 2080's Ti FTW3's that had issues. Nothing wrong with yours at all. I have 2 1080 Ti's and they both have Micron memory chips. They run great.

@Faith yes DX11 does seem more stable. No stutters or crashes.

Thank you so much for testing! I will change once I get back to it. Hopefully DX12 will get resolved sooner than later because I had amazing performance with it, especially in Mumbai and Marrakech.

2 1080 Ti's? I'm jelly Mike. Actually Micron had issues before on Pascals. I think it was with the 1070's overclocking potential on Micron memory having issues above 8.000/2 Mhz overclock, dunno if it ever affected the 1080 though. Ironically I use a 1070 daily with micron memory, no issues.

Same here on my 1070, with OC.

Tbh, I dont really see much difference between DX11 and DX12, so I'll stick with 11 for now.

After some local testing I found out what is causing the high CPU usage by NVIDIA Container on my system.
For most of the time CPU usage is very low, however if the PC is allowed to sleep after waking up the high CPU usage kicks in. Think I'll log this with NVIDIA tomorrow.

A desktop PC doesnt really need sleep mode, its either off or on. Sleep is really designed for laptops. Only devices I let sleep is the monitor.
