Is anyone experiencing their display not recovering from wake and forced to reboot? There is quite a large thread on the Nvidia forums about this. I'm experiencing this issue but don't know if it's the Nvidia drivers or something else.
I've just tried Sleep and it woke ok for me.

I never use sleep, as it screws up the system timers.
Which can mess with the system.
Proof is when one runs a benchmark, then put the PC to either sleep or hibernate, it messes the score on the next runs until the system is rebooted.

Sleep is very convenient for people though. Any evidence it affects performance other than benchmarks?

Doesnt take a reboot, you just have to let it run a few minutes when coming back. windows gets busy on resume

I said it messes with system timings, so it can cause microstuttering in games, mess with media playback, and for scientific applications can cause inaccuracies in computing.

It has to do with the System, GetTickCount, QueryPerformance, and HighPerformanceEvent Timers.
It also depends on which of thesee timers a program uses/can use(if HPET is turned of in BIOS or in Windows).
