Yes Josey I realise that is how DDU should work, but at the time I had that problem DDU wasn't working as it should and Wagnard said that it wasn't disabling driver updates from Microsoft and he was working on a fix. We both agreed that disconnecting from the internet solved the problem until he fixed it. It really depends on what version of DDU the OP is running or has the bug reared its ugly head again.

Only bug is with win-10
MS is so in love with crappy 388. version driver it installs it automatically regardless of settings/ reg files...

New 399.24 driver out. NVIDIA

I think to stay with 398.86 , coz Im not a gamer so absolutely no use for updating ( right/not right ????)

Nvidia drivers can fix non-gaming issues - aswell as security holes - regardless of them being "game ready", so it's good to update once in a while. I use to look up the release notes and see if something is addressed to me before updating. Windows usually updates your driver between major feature updates twice a year, that method should work just fine if you don't want to bother. It will keep your system semi-updated. We should see a new driver branch next week (411.51 progress) and if everything goes as planned then that driver is the one I'm going to update to.
