    Hi Topgeek, have you tried disabling "On-board" graphics in the BIOS?

    There are only two settings, 'Onboard' and 'Auto'. I have set mine to 'Auto' but it makes no difference.

    I've added a video card in a number of computers over the last several years and never had to go into the BIOS and disable the onboard adapter, just plug the monitor into the new card. When thinking about it, if the card is removed and the BIOS has the onboard disabled and no new card added, how would one then use the computer? A number of new computers I've set up where the folks upgraded the video received them with covers put over the onboard port/s by the OEM so as not to use them.

    Well, I guess the 'Automatic' setting avoids that situation (in my case).

On Windows 7 my computer was fine with this resolution. The second I upgraded, my resolution pretty much just broke by putting a black box around my screen. I've tried updating my drivers and other stuff yet I require assistance still.
