    nvidia

I have had this card for 4 years but lately nvidea has been sending out a lot of updates. Yesterday they sent one out that caused a file to get stuck in my temp folder. It may be OK but I prefer not to have it there. Occasionally I empty that folder and for all my PC life it has become empty.
Point being is I would like to have only what is necessary in the control panel. I know 'experience' has to do with facilitating updates.
Question, which of these nvidea entries in the attachment should I keep so I can remove the others.
I have the low end card and these updates are for gamers which i am not. I just want to be safe yet have a good screen.
    TY

Oh Peter if you don't play any games, than the only ones from Nvidia you need to keep are.
Nvidia Graphics Driver ( This is your graphic driver that you use, very important)
Nvidia Geforce Experience (this checks for your Nvidia Updates)

The other 3 you can uninstall, and you will not notice anything different. Unless you are using the Nvidia HD Audio Driver, which most likey you are not. If your not sure, than leave this one too.

Only thing that puzzles me is your version of your Nvidia driver, it shows 362 and the most current driver is 364.51 from Nvidia.

    One more thing Peter.
During your next upgrade, using your Geforce Experience, it does give you the option of Custom Install. You should choose that next time, then wait for the screen, it will let you choose which apps you want Nvidia to install, just checkmark the only ones you want. Then look at bottom lower left side of screen and you should see a box you can check, for clean install. Check that box also.

So the top 2 are 3d so I can remove them?
The third down is experience which i can keep but do not need it?
I keep the 4th which is the graphics driver but can remove the audio driver which is 5th?
The 6th is the PhysX software -what do I do with that?

As you can see I am trying to run as I used to with as few as possible as I do not game but the company is sending in gaming features.
Is there a way to stop updates? I looked all over the control panel.
Am I opening security by not using the updates?
What should I do with the 362 + the 451?
Thanks a lot for your help.

    Yes you don't need them.

Should keep this one, it keeps track of your new updates, and downloads them for you.

Yes you can uninstall this one too.

Yes again, you don't need this one either, you only need TWO of all those Nvidia programs installed.

Their is no security risk updating your Nvidia drivers, using the Nvidia Geforce Experience program. Whenever you do a update, Nvidia removes your old drivers automatically Peter.

If you don't have one of these,

    NVIDIA 3D Vision|NVIDIA

then the first two are useless and a waste of space, and as mentioned can be safely removed.
