Intel HD 4000 Driver Version Number not Going Up

Running Windows 10 and a latest version for my GPU (Intel HD 4000) is out I searched for it on Intel and found the driver download at this
    HTML Code:
    <a href="https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25188/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-64bit-3rd-Gen-BYT-">link</a>
. I downloaded the driver and restarted my laptop (HP 2000 2d29dx) and checked the version/date of the drive which stayed the same

    Driver Date: 7/10/2015

    Driver Version: 10.18.10.4252

The above are the outdated driver, there were also no errors during installation. What I tried besides installing by the exe is going into Device Manager and doing a "Have Disk..." installation by selecting the Graphics folder and then selecting igdlh64.inf to get it installed manually with the same result of the screen going black and then again showing the old driver details. I do wanted to note that after installing the new driver Windows 10 is automatically installing a "driver" but it does not say which.

Yep, it's a laptop and that's the exact same download that I have completed. I know because I'm using IDM (Internet Download Manger) and the download is already complete. The file is not corrupted at all but the version number stays the same. My screen also now seems to be flashing so I'm going to remove the GPU driver and reboot now to see what happens.

I saw the same thing. I think Intel is just packaging the same driver that was available at Windows 10's launch into an install package. .4252 is the newest driver, so you have the correct version of it.

So, sorry for the late reaction, but is this any true what you said. Cause this is still a problem, and nowhere there is to be found why or how?
