I didn't realize you had two cards. In this case, yes, the card closer to the CPU has higher priority so it should display first and when into Windows the second card works too.

its wierd though beacuse it dident make a diff when i tryd before.. top card being the aircooled one..hdmi connected.. dvi conected. no signal on hdmi at post loading or safe. same with just having hdmi connected. but swaping the card around and connecting just the hdmi seemd to work..i dunno why maybe i did somthing diffrent in the the unistalling using ddu i dunno. im just glad its one problem fixed now. just need to figure out how to ge the temp issue fixed and the resizing programs in windows 10 fixed.. it dosent make sence that the bottem card is 20 c hotter in gaming then the top card. having temps in the 80s on that bottem card dose not seem right. i dont seem to be maintaining 60fps at 4k in some games..but i thought that was just normal cuz 4k is very demanding. but im not expert.
You could try removing the fan or heatsink, cleaning the old thermal paste and applying new. Of course you should also blow dust away. This would make sure the heat is dissipated the best possible way.
No, I mean the graphics card. The one that overheats.
