Install the "older" version anyway. An Intel driver is always preferred over a "newer" Microsoft driver. Press Win+R and type regedit to execute Registry Editor, no need to search for it.

I just wish I hadn't sell my Acer Aspire One to my friend. Damn debts, I needed the money...
With a quick Google search I couldn't find any official Microsoft site to download Vista. I found this site, but I'm not sure how legal it is. I guess as long as you use a legit serial for the installation it should be OK. If I remember correctly, the Vista Ultimate ISO can be used to install all smaller versions depending on serial given.
