@jds63, I have just installed windows 10 and this very issue is what I'm suffering with, TDR with no hope for a fix, just crashes to black screen and reboots without recovering the driver, so frustrating, on driver 358.50 for w10, any luck on yours?
Never had any issues with NVIDIA drivers Windows 10 or 8.1. As i was helping Banger with his. I would check Event Viewer logs for red errors least give you an idea of what is causing it exactly ,if not hardware related or conflict with another driver.

check this link here> it's a Bcc 116 which is a TDR delay and recovery failure Solved Random black screen and restart, bugcheck 0x0000116 in event viewer - Windows 10 Forums
it's not solved BTW, it was working, but as banger says, it happened again when you least expect it.

in the download it's under eventlog.txt , and it's event number 512, control+f and type 116 and you'll find it (the second one)

Getting errors messages, BSOD ? Where did you see TDR ?
Gave same article to Mr.Needs on this, may also need to test other hardware, RAM.
Have tried other drivers, chances can be card or low power to the card.

Look at the Event Viewer logs.

Its not the card or the psu because when I install 347.88 I dont get any problems, with the latest I get TDRs as seen in the reliability chart, I will post a pic.

Going back to 347.88 tends to mess up windows update and some updates get blocked like other hardware updates which are ok, if only there were a way to block just the nvidia driver.

Might be certain chipset like your Fermi still having issues as in past with newer drivers and Windows 10, was a past issue if this is what it is. Stick with older drivers for now if they work. Not positive this is it, also make sure running power options in high performance and try shutting off Fast startup if enabled.

True, think can only stop all drivers for hardware, not a particular one as seen in other posts about this, unless someone found a way.

Fast startup is a red herring as I never reboot, have enabled high performance, if someone knows a way to block nvidia drivers on windows update without blocking other stuff let me know.

I have filed a bug report with nvidia and sent sys info report no idea if they will look at it.
