    Monitors won't go to sleep

    Hello all,

    Running win10 22H2, build 19045.4170

A few months ago I built a new PC and installed Win10. It first all was fine, and it still is, except the monitors will not go to sleep. My setup has three monitors connected to the card. Two monitors, one horizontal, and a vertical one next to it, as well as my TV. I use the second monitor as a USB hub to connect my photo scanner, mouse, and pen/tablet when I need them.

The behavior started all of the sudden and I'm at a loss as to why it is so.

Earlier this week, I updated my video card drivers, but didn't reboot. Low and behold, the monitors went to sleep as they should. Yesterday though, I rebooted, and the issue is back as they didn't go to sleep once.

Thoughts on how to fix this issue?

Just so you know, the G-Force Experience overlay is not active.

Monitors only enter sleep mode if the graphics card does.
    Check power settings
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options and select a power plan and select change plan settings.
Select Change Advanced Power Settings to set all variables of the plan.

Apologies for the late reply. Because of work I didn't have time to look into the issue, and try any out troubleshooting steps.

However, yesterday the monitors started going to sleep as they should.

    Gremlins?...

Turn of PC or put to sleep when watching youtube or a movie?

Tailored response but the info you need is there. Basically if you are doing anything other than some basic stuff on the desktop then the computer is not eligible for sleep unless you set an override.

The monitors went to sleep as normal because there was nothing actively filling any of those requirements. I think the other one is of course mouse movement which you won't see in that list.
