    Nvidia vs Geforce cards

I recently downloaded 3D related software. Initially it loaded and worked flawlessly, then unexpectedly it shut down but the instructions stated if that happens then just click the reload icon. I reloaded and it continued to work until an error message "install current nvidia drivers" appeared on screen.

I later found documentation that states this software is only compatible with Nvidia cards (which was frustrating) but it seems to run from time to time for hours on end. I'm curious to know if there is a way around this issue without having to purchase a new graphic card just for this piece of software. If I can use the program even for a few hours a day I will be satisfied.

Any thoughts about this issue will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    I'm currently running Win10

Nvidia and Geforce, are actually the same.
Assuming you have an Nvidia and/or geforce card...

    Try installing the latest driver...

    DDU Instructions - Nvidia
    1. Get this program, here: Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) | Wagnardsoft ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
    2. Get the DCH/Game Ready vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: Advanced Driver Search | NVIDIA ...save this to your desktop.
    Unhook the internet completely.
    3. Reboot into Safe Mode and run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you.
    4. After it's done, reboot to normal mode, then just double click the Nvidia driver to install.
[See pics below]. If it want's to reboot, let it.
    Rehook the internet.

    As @Ghot said.
I have Win10 on a Gigabyte motherboard without onboard video but am using an add-in PCIe X16 video card identified as
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT [Display adapter]

    Hi
I appreciate both of your replies. I've attached a screenshot of the error message I received just a few minutes ago as I attempted to relaunch the program.

If you can take a look at the screenshot and have any further suggestions I would appreciate hearing what your thoughts may be. I just don't want to cause any issues for my PC considering I do 3D work for clients and don't want to cause a conflict for myself.

My card is a: Geforce GTX 1660

    Thanks again.Nvidia vs Geforce cards-screenshot-1.jpg

    Some pages found by duckduckgo:
Geforce GTX 1660 drivers at DuckDuckGo

Can't say further without the My Computer being filled out. A possible drawback is your version of Win10, somewhat old, came out second Half of 2021.

Just follow the directions (exactly), in post #2 of this topic.
