Using TV as a Monitor, display issue

    Hi,
I'm using an LG HDMI TV as a monitor, but am unable to get the display to switch to the PC Home Screen using Alt/Tab.
So I am stuck in the application window until I close the application.
Is there a setting I need to change to solve this?

You can only use PC if you have the computer connected to the tv PC VGA input.

    Application Window?

There is usually a dedicated Hide and switch windows button on a keyboard.

About using TV ( Display with a tuner-card ) for computer.

VGA port can work but you also have VGA -> HDMI devices ( buy online ) that gives you colorful HDMI graphic through your VGA port most likely simulating resolutions through the pass-through device.

VGA -> TV ( Display ) will give you partial control of your tv. When you shutdown it will turn off, or go to sleep will turn on,

HDMI ( display port ) ->HDMI ( display port ) will often work and bring over the Audio with it as well, including resolutions and supported higher-end HDMI cables for bigger resolutions. If your HDMI is blinking this is because the refresh-rate is not within range. Most TV ( Displays ) do not have the Best output for anything from computer at all, or supports the coloring ( dimmer less bright colors ) meant for viewing as a Computer-Display. You can use a display but the lighting is extremely bright and needs to be compared to a computer display. Many Computer displays uses Led lighting and proper colors.

Mirror-Display-option -> can work within the area on the same Network ( usually but not all the time ). Same with any device that supports Mirror-Display or Smart-screen. Windows have this support.

Remote-access -> Must be enabled in case you want to use something like Team-viewer, or a resolution like mirror display but you must be on the same network or even have internet running. This method ( as with Windows app ) and many other independent services allows you to use your computer from afar. Same method when renting a PC or MAC that is virtually loaded without the need of a physical presence of one. Why buy hardware that is going to fail when you could rent it for work???

    S-video if supported

RGB-BW ( DVI-A ) is literally the same thing, but smaller so there are converters. Even DVI-D might convert. If supported.

About Composite/Colax . You need a converter and usually those are not in English. Because many devices are on different frequencies.
