That is the correct Nvidia Control Panel for an Optimus Laptop in Hybrid mode.

You will only get the full Nvidia Control Panel if you switch to Nvidia Graphics only.

Is there any confirmed method to disable optimus / switch to nvidia graphics only?
There are so many people talking about the same issue and all speak about many solutions and many of them dont seem to work?

"Is there any confirmed method to disable optimus / switch to nvidia graphics only?"

Depends entirely on the particular Laptop hardware, not all can switch to Nvidia Graphics only mode but send the 3D graphics calls via the Nvidia chip(i.e. Optimus).

So there is no such thing as a confirmed method. You have to research the particular Laptop concerned.

On mine, a new one, the Laptop has MUX switches and a Manufacturers App to set the GPU working mode to "dGPU mode" in that case I get the full Nvidia control panel.

On my 10 years old Optimus Laptop that was not possible so only get Optimus mode & the smaller Nvidia control panel.

"There are so many people talking about the same issue and all speak about many solutions and many of them dont seem to work?"

It is not an issue it is a matter of Laptop hardware, most of the solutions are from Desktop PC gamers who do not know the details of Laptop hardware or suggest removing manufacturers apps in favour of spurious "clean installs" and complicating things to the Nth degree by removing essentials.

Mine is not an ASUS, so this is from googling.

Go to the Armoury Crate App, should be pre-installed, and look for options like System configuration, Discrete GPU, MUX switch.

You may need to restart to get the appropriate Nvidia control panel.

    Alternatvely:

From the Optimus Nvidia control panel > Manage Display mode > select the last option Nvidia GPU only. Then restart Laptop.

Mine is as illustrated on this ASUS reference.

Most computers have built in GPU. You need to disable that driver, and only have the Nvidia whatever running. Also depends on how you installed the Driver for the GPU. You have the control panel but later drivers wants you to use whatever alternative or even Windows store to download the classic control panel ( which many people would avoid and requires a login or just to touch base with Windows Store ).
