MSI GeForce GT 730 - Xbox Game bar still refuses to record

    Hi there,
I recently replaced my EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 1GB to an MSI GeForce GT 730 as I'd like to be able to record footage of my gameplay; all associated drivers and software are correctly installed and work just fine.

I opened the game bar to test out the feature and yet it still gave me the same error message that my graphics card does not meet the requirements (apparently GeForce 600+) as described on bing - screenshot below.

Wondering if anyone has experienced this issue before or if anyone knew any potential solutions.

    Thanks in advance!

    Gellert

Even though it technically meets the requirements listed on the Microsoft page, I think your graphics card doesn't meet the actual requirements. When it comes to NVidia graphics cards, anything not marketed as GTX, is not really meant for gaming. The GT series is just meant to offer a performance increase over integrated graphics and to free up your regular ram, as integrated graphics uses it as vram. Since you are in Canada, I don't know if you can order from EVGA's B stock or not. If you can, I recommend returning the 730, and getting a 750 or 750ti from there. Right now, they have a 750ti for $90USD. If Canadian prices are similar to US prices, that should only be a $20 difference. EVGA's B stock is products that have been damaged at the factory, but are tested and proven to work as well as a new, mint condition product. They usually have scratches, or small dings. The most damage I've ever heard of a GPU from there having is a slightly bent heat sink. They also come with a 1 year warranty.

That's just my opinion, and I'll continue to look into the issue for you.

Well, they do ship to Canada, however the catch is that shipping is $50 which covers most of the price difference...

That price is pretty ridiculous. I also can't find much on specs needed to the game clips. My best suggestion at this point is to try to get a second hand GTX 650. I know its older than the GT 730, but it actually has much better specs. Again, that's just my opinion.
