    @ Jamiez

Cant tell if it will work for you, but I experience simular problem.. (HD7970)
Solution for me, is to simply uninstall "AMD catalyst control center" thru settings/ system /apps & features

Sometimes windows update decides to reinstall catalyst control center, resulting in problem reoccurring untill I uninstall it yet again...

Amd driver latest version from microsoft is 15.200.1062.1004 dated 3 August, 2015. It includes the catalyst control center. Use microsoft driver otherwise it will continuously remove the amd driver from amd and update to ms amd driver. At least that is what has happened on my pc and I have had no video problems by using the microsoft driver. AMD has a beta graphics driver out v15.8 dated 31 August and as soon as the stable release of that is out I would usually upgrade to the most current AMD driver only from AMD or Microsoft.

The driver verifier is a developer/engineer tool. Are you an engineer?

No need for driver verifier, I'm running 331.82 WHQL, ( W7/W8.1), on my old 9600M GT under W 10 x64 and it's running fine.
Of course, I had to manually edit a .inf file to allow the driver to install, cause my hardware Id's were not listed in the initial Nvidia installer, & install it in Test Mode (Digital signature enforcement disabled, F7)
I'm running it more than a month, not a single crash.
As for the TDR's, it's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause, could be more than one...
Also, no need to install from Device Manager, just uninstall the previous driver via Programs & Features, delete some folder remnants and possibly, (optional), some registry keys, reboot, and upon installation of the newer driver select Custom, then the items you need, in my case Graphics Driver & HD Audio driver only, and also check the option Perform a clean installation. (for Nvidia GPU's). Once done, reboot one more time.
    Voila!

you can also manually change the idle clock values if you're getting the driver crash coming out of idle state. was a very common issue with some of the AMD apu's and gpu's i have used. only saw one I could never resolve - sold that card

Some issues setting up your AMD crossfire rig. Turn of Ultra Low Power state in registry if you cannot get a crossfire configuration running (both cards or all card in crossfire). Here is how: ULPS (Ultra Low Power State) - Disable for AMD CrossfireX - Windows 7 Help Forums The procedure described in the win7 forum worked for win 8, 8.1, and 10. What I would get before shutting down the ULPS was only running one GPU in crossfire configuration no matter what the application was. AMD did not have the answer initially. Now both GPU pick up the load when requested.

I've been having this same issue. It seems like it's a popular Microsoft Win10 bug thus far.
At least at times I can watch a Movie until the middle of it and I get the famous win10 bluescreen.
Adobe updated/display driver reinstalled clean etc.
