Windows keeps installing old Intel Graphics Driver  

As the title says, each time I upgrade the Intel graphics drivers Windows Update keeps installing old Intel Graphics Driver, forcing me to roll back to the latest driver from Device Manager. I seem to have all Windows settings properly configured to prevent this behavior, namely:
1) System Properties/Hardware Tab/Device Installation Settings set to "No" (screenshot attached)
2) Group Policy Editor set to disable Windows Update driver install (screenshot attached)
3) The DriverUpdateWizardWuSearchEnabled key, under the DriverSearching folder in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows is missing, so I can't tweak it

What else can I try? thanks

In the Search box,type in ---dxdiag ---and in the System page check the status of ---WHQL digital signatures ---and if checked,which is the Default setting,then if you wish to use a Non-Qualified driver then uncheck it.
WHQL is used to distinguish between a driver which has passed Microsoft's rigorous testing and is safe to use and one which is probably safe to use,but not yet tested.
Also look in the Display page which will give the current driver version and it's WHQL status.

That checkbox was already unchecked

Recheck it,shut down and restart and see if the problem persists.
Did you find it unchecked or do it yourself ?

Had the same nightmare with a previous laptop (Asus, the issue was the Synaptics touchpad).

Managed to stop the mess changing my Internet connection to "metered", and stopped automatic updates on Windows. Tried many diff things, only this worked for me.

At that time I didn't know about what FreeBooter suggest, but it works, I used this method with a graphics card recently.

And, but this is just a thought, if you installed the driver directly from Intel instead of from Lenovo then perhaps Windows is suggesting a driver from Lenovo instead because its HardwareID is a better match for your hardware than the one you installed.
Computer makers do often tailor Intel video & WiFi drivers to match the peculiarities of their hardware.
- Dell certainly do.
- I don't know about Lenovo. I've only owned one for three months.
