How to fix intermittent displacement of vertical strip of pixels
How does one fix an intermittent displacement of a single, vertical strip of pixels shifted to one side of a monitor?
Periodically, on either monitor, a single vertical row of pixels in the middle of the screen is missing and this vertical row of pixels is moved to one end of the screen. It causes a noticeable distortion of the text. I am not sure if this is screen tearing or not.
I have not been able to capture particularly helpful screenshots to better describe the problem. Has anyone else seen this effect? What causes it? Any idea how to permanently fix? The issue is fixed after a restart but pops up from time to time again and is not resolved by new drivers.
Currently running Win10 22H2 with NVidia GeForce RTX 2080Ti with Driver Version 31.0.15.3179 and have a dual ASUS Predator XB271HU monitors. In Nvidia control panel, I run monitors at 120 Hz, use Nvidia color settings (not default), and turn on the following 3D settings (in addition to the default): background max frame rate 20, ultra low latency mode, NVidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti as the open GL rendering GPU, and max performance power management mode.
Thanks!
