I have questions about the new screen that I am interested in buying

I have an Alienware 17 r5 laptop which has a gtx 1080 graphics card. I am connecting it to a 43 inch 1080p 60hz tv by hdmi. My tv is very old so I am planning on buying a new screen. I am interested in this 4k pc monitor 43" Odyssey Neo G7 G70NC LS43CG700NMXUE | Samsung Levant. My laptop is not powerful enough to handle gaming at 4k so I have to lower the resolution of the screen. I can set the screen to 1080p but the problem is that my graphics card doesn't support integer scaling so it has to rely on the scaling of the screen and when that happens the image can become blurry.

Reddit - Dive into anything talks about that. Is the blurriness really that bad or it's not and it depends on how observant you are?

The video said that you have to set the windows resolution to 4k and then set the scaling in windows to 200% so it becomes like it's 1080p and then you have to set the game to 1080p. If I do that then what will the fps be? My laptop has an hdmi 2.0 port and display port 1.3. I know that hdmi 2.0 will limit playing games at 4k to 60fps. I am unsure about the display port. The windows resolution is set to 4k but the game is being played at 1080p so can I get more than 60fps? Or I can't get more than 60fps because the laptop is sending a 4k signal to the tv? Will the fps get affected if I connect the pc monitor by using hdmi or by using display port?

I have seen it before. I bet you have the generic nVidia drivers installed from Windows Update. To get a clearer image, enable a lot more features and get access to nVidia Control Panel (to tweak image and performance) I recommend downloading the latest official nVidia driver from here: GeForce Game Ready Driver | 536.67 | Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11 | NVIDIA
When it finishes downloading, double-click to run. Select custom installation and check all boxes to get all features. Then load nVidia Control Panel, go to Screen section, then Resolution and set 3840x2160 at 60Hz from there for 4K, or 1920x1080 60Hz for FullHD. This required HDMI or Display Port connection to the TV (probably you have HDMI). You can leave the default signal settings, or you can select nVidia color settings form further down the Screen section and then test RGB or YCbCr to see which looks best on your TV. You can also select 8-bit or 12-bit per color channel, if your TV supports more than 16 million colors (8-bit). From Windows Settings, Devices, Display you can also enable HDR (High Dynamic Range) for games or movies that support it, if of course your TV supports it.

PS: If your TV shows black bars, see the image, aspect ratio setting from your remote. There is a way to fill the screen. If your TV crops the image (overscan), then see the advanced image options to disable it, I don't remember what it is called.

PS2: Some 4K TVs support the larger 4096x2160 resolution, if you see it on the list, select it and you might get much clearer image than 3840x2160.
