MisterEd, that would be great if and only IF, the Menu button did anything when pressed. As I said, I have held the Menu button in for as long as 15 seconds or more and nothing hahppens.
My Hannspree HannsG HT225 HPB monitor's Menu button only functions if there is a video signal to the monitor. I just have to touch it for a moment, pressing it down for longer does not achieve anything.
Assuming it had a video signal when you tried yours & that yours behaves the same as mine then your Menu button is broken & you'll have to accept that you cannot change any monitor settings.

Your arrow buttons are there to navigate the Menu so they do nothing without a functioning menu button.

Dang, This morning I pressed the Menu button and it opened like the one MisterEd Posted. I assumed that if I want the brightness to be darker, I need to decrease the brightness.

LOL I tried the mouse to make the adjustment. NOPE, mouse does go onto the popup.
I tried the UP and DOWN ARROWS, the LEFT AND RIGHT ARROWS on the keyboard. That did nothing either.
I tried the the LEFT AND RIGHT ARROWS on the monitor buttons. That changed to option on the popup away from brightness to Contrast.

How the heck do I change the brightness to a lower number?

    Thanks again.

Everything is done using the controls on the monitor [not your mouse, not your keyboard, just the monitor]
1 Press the Menu button to enter the Menu system.
2 Use the arrows on the monitor controls to highlight the Brightness entry in the list. You can press the left & right arrows to your heart's content moving across all the adjustments you can make [Brightness, Contrast, whatever]. So if one moves you off Brightness, the other arrow will put you back there.
3 Press the Menu button again to enable Brightness adjustment - this is probably also indicated in the onscreen display you are looking at. You will probably now see a popup gauge that is probably similar to that illustrated by MrEd in post #8.
4 Use the arrows to change the Brightness level.
5 Press the Menu button again to save the chosen Brightness level - this is probably also indicated in the onscreen display you are looking at.
6 Press the Menu button again to exit the Menu system.

These instructions have been derived from how I do it on my HannsG monitor and the buttons illustrated by MrEd in post #8.

Try3, that was great procedures. This morning I was able to move the Brightness setting down from 31 to 21. LOL I can not really tell anything or not. Keeping my fingers crossed.
