My 2K monitors work in 4K. Is it safe to leave it at 4K
I have 2 x Philips 328P6AUBREB/75 monitors that are supposed to be 1440p monitors @ HDR 400.
I just moved my PC back upstairs where it lives in winter and I was looking at the display settings and noticed 3840x216op was listed as a resolution. I figured I would try it expecting a "frequency out of range" error, but it works fine.
Checked the monitor settings, and the model # is definitely correct.
I thought maybe it was down scaling but the UHD image is definitely a lot smaller than the QHD image.
Is it safe to run them at UHD when it's specs say QHD? Am I likely to burn them out or cause other problems?
My GPU is an ASUS RTX 3080 Ti 12GB connected via display port cables.
I do recall I had problems with my original purchases (edge bleeding), and these are warranty replacements, but the model numbers are the same...
