    Graphics card with HDMI input

My HDMI port is problematic to the extent that if the cable is not absolutely flush, with the slightest movement of the cable or the computer, it loses contact,

I'm told that a replacement is complicated with my integrated motherboard, but an alternative is a graphics card with a HDMI port, so I need advice about a card, and installation. I'm not a gamer, so it doesn't have to be fancy, just competent.

It's really difficult to make recommendations like this with zero criteria to go by. The only thing we know is that you are not a gamer, but what we don't know is things like this:

    1) What DO you actually do with your PC?
    2) Do you do video editing?
    3) Do you perform video encoding that would benefit from a fast GPU?
    4) What is your budget?
    5) How many monitors do you want to drive?
    etc.

My suggestion would be to do a web search on something like "GPU buyer's guide" or similar.

Apologies I could not be more helpful, it's simply such an opened ended question that I wasn't sure how to respond better

I would characterize it as general computing, streaming. Nothing that I would describe as intensive, extended cpu load.

    No

    No

Inexpensive, but that does the job competently

    One

I'll do that, but maybe with my info you could point me in a certain direction?

Look on Amazon or Newegg. Plenty out there and with USB C you can use a hub with HDMI or Display Port.

It's probably cheaper than a vid card.
