    7900xtx USB-C port?

Is that JUST for VR or could I use a USB-C to HDMI cable to a monitor?
I don't have the cable but I'm looking at a few.
Are there any benefits over just using a DP to HDMI cord?

My latest Desktop [April '22] has no VGA or DVI port so I used a DisplayPort to VGA adapter, works fine with my KVM switch. I was given a 27" monitor several months ago with 4 inputs selectable from the menu button on it, HDMI worked fine for working on a couple Notebooks with broken screens. I haven't had a need to try HDMI with TV.

I'm not using it in a situation like that. I was just curious if I could use the USB-C port on the gpu to connect to a TV or monitor.

The USB-C port on an Add-in card may work for TV but the USB-C port on the motherboard may be problematic, has to work with things more than the display. I've only used the onboard for thumb drives and connecting a SmartPhone for file transfers.

I wasn't going to try from the motherboard. I don't think the 5950x has integrated graphics like intel does.

    On my AMD Radeon 7900XTX there's 2 Display Port, 1 USB-C and 1 HDMI.

It should work but I'd think for TV I'd go with the HDMI. I don't use it but have read where folks had issues with sound.
