Looks like VGA cable that enters DVI-D IN port at back of monitor and the other end of the cable goes into the VGA port at back of PC. Local PC Repair shop mounted the video card when they replaced the Motherboard back in 2021.
    is it something like this.

I will try find a picture someplace.
We have to know if the cable is connected to the graphic card or the PC itself.

Is it connected to A, that is the PC itself

    or

B, that is the graphic card.

you could save electricity by trading the 3570k for a 3570s at cex and get a couple of quid change. Unless you are overclocking on that h61 motherboard ?

and/or you could unplug the graphics card and use cpu graphics, which will reduce power consumption.

Can't believe the site won't let me upload photos! It's a 24 pin male VGA cable at both ends.

Pics must be .jpg or .png and less than 2MB

    Quickie screenshot directions.

    1. Use the PrtSc key to take a screenshot.
    2. Open an image editor like "Paint", and click Paste > Paste.
    3. Click on Select > Rectangular Select and drag a box around what you want to show.
    4. Click on Crop.
    5. Click on File > Save as > PNG picture and save it to somewhere like your desktop.
    6. Now, in your Ten Forums post, click on the Insert Image icon.

    7. Then click on.. From Computer > Browse (to where you saved the screenshot) > Upload File(s).

    8. You will then see something like this. That's your "posted" image.

That's how the monitor is connected to my PC. The graphics card is mounted in the PC directly behind that port.
