Nvidia says you can ride it with a bit of wiring on the power connector.
I think this is a bad lawsuit. Why? Because what is the solution?
People hardly see the consequences of their actions years out.
What if in response to this, Nvidia coats the gpu board with harmful Chemical flame retardants that are Nurotoxic?
The gpu will still heat up, but now its releasing neurotoxins like bromine, which is a commonly used chemical.
What will Nvidia do? They will go the cheapest option which is the chemicals. They should ship a water cooling option with the 4090. Are they going to do that? Or are they going to use the chemicals? So the people starting the lawsuit dont have anyone's health in real concern.
They got tunnel vision.
If there is actually some defect, then the lawsuit needs to document that, and present the solution.
