I'm thinking about it. Do you think the card would perform better and/or last longer? I never realized my computer was upside down inside.

It doesn't really matter, to be honest. But at least the vid card would be right side up, in an ATX case.

Here are all the normal ATX cases from fairly decent manufacturers...

Thank you. How difficult is it? I wouldn't have to solder, would I? I used to solder for a living, but I prefer not to. It doesn't look too complicated, though, as far as how many connectors are inside, but my experience inside a computer is only twice changing out the cooling system and fans, and of course adding ram, etc. I would have to just take careful photos and and try to reconnect everything in the same places from photos and memory. Do you think it's easy enough for someone with limited knowledge to do?

NO. Like I said above... the vid card doesn't really care. It's gonna suck air/dust in through the fan(s), and blow the air/dust out the back of the case.

It's not like a... box in the basement that is gonna get covered with dust.
Boxes in the basement don't have fans running all the time.

But... one advantage to a new case, is you can get one that's... pretty, like this maybe...

That is pretty! But I just keep the computer under the desk on a shelf, so I don't even see it most of the time

All right then, I guess I'll just put the card in and hope for the best. ;-) I really appreciate your advice, Ghot! Thank you!

    You'll be fine.

If I ever decide to get a new case... I'll probably get this one...
Phanteks Enthoo 719 High Performance Full Tower - Grey - Newegg.com

    This is a full tower case. Approx. $215 Dimensions (H x W x D) 23.60" x 9.45" x 22.60"
This case is the same size as the one I have now. I like cases with elbow-room inside.

Yeah, my case is too crowded, and the PSU is right near one of the processors, which probably makes it run hotter. It would be nice to have a roomier case and know everything is well ventilated. Thanks for sharing all these options! I might do it yet. At least now I know the difference between cases
