    RTX 3070 power requirements

My Modular EVGA PSU has a single 8 pin to 16 pin cable. Is this adequate power for my 08G-P5-3767-KL or would it prefer 2 8x8 pin cables?

If it's the psu in your system 1 specs, it would appear to have the ability to run 2 separate cables to the gpu.
I would run the 2 cables instead of pigtailing off of just 1 to spread out the load on the psu.
It will also assure that there is adequate power available and minimize potential heat on the cable.
That's how I hooked up my 3060. I figure if I have the ability to do so, there is no harm in doing it.

I also found this on the EVGA forums

I've got a MSI RTX 3070Ti Suprim X with a Corsair 850w PSU and running 2 cables on separate rails to the card. I understand this is the recommended way of doing it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the confirmation because it felt like a bad idea. Now I know that cable is for a 3-slot card.
