Screen goes black while playing Metro Exodus, then "No Signal"
I was playing Metro Exodus for a while. The screen went black followed by a "No Signal" message on screen. I could hear the video card fans screaming away (as they had been while playing the game), but no picture. I decided to do a forced shutdown by holding the power button down. Nothing. The computer would not shutdown. Then tried the RESET button on the PC case. Nothing. I had to unplug it from the wall for it to shutdown.
What I have done with no success-
- Tried plugging into different Display Port port on the video card.
- Video card was very dirty. Blew it out it compressed air.
- CPU cooler and all fans really dirty. Blew it out it compressed air.
Now when I boot up I get a momentary splash screen from the video card, then it goes black and no signal.
Did I fry the video card? Is there a reset of some sort? Why wouldn't the PC do a forced shutdown? That is new to me.
