Just thinking..... Is there any way to get back to Windows 7, where I was 4 days ago? I was always satisfied with Win 7. I do not need all the new stuff.

You need to install the driver for Dell U2412MB monitor. Not the Video Driver
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/...driverid=hwmng
NOTE: This driver is for Win Vista & 7. And it might work with 10.
You can go to the NVIDIA site and download the correct driver for your card. Quadro 2000 – Workstation graphics card for 3D design, styling, visualization, CAD, and more
Really? Seems unlikely.
Drivers can be had at http://www.nvidia com.

Not all monitors adhere to the proper DDC(Display Data Channel) standard, DDC reports are sometimes only a subset of the timings supported by the hardware. Monitor "drivers" are nothing more than configuration files that tell Windows what timing ranges the monitor is capable of supporting. I've seen many monitors that were not fully support by Windows , and needed the driver to work properly. However, my dual HP-W2408, 1920x1200, the same resolution as OP's Dell Monitor, when fresh install Windows 10, Windows Updates detected and installed it.
As long as you get the resolution and refresh rates you want out of the default driver, there is nothing to gain from installing the manufacturer's driver other than seeing the proper name of your monitor instead of "Generic LCD Panel" or whatever
Nice explanation topgundcp ! My ASUS PA248Q, native res. is also 1920x1200. The disc came with it makes it also show the model in Device manager instead of Generic PnP, but not shown to be supported for Windows 10, plus it only adds a utility for ASUS MultiFrame Software. In Display properties i do see my model number, but not in Device and Printers or Device Manager.
