    Hello, many thanks for your response! So indeed I'm not alone.

    I returned back to Windows 10 1903. The Driver version that was auto-installed with Windows update is Nvidia 432.00 and in my case it is no longer triggering these WMI Errors. I can actually now recall this is the exact same Nvidia driver I had with 1903 prior to the fresh re-installation 2 years ago.

    I have no idea if updating to the latest drivers under 1903 will trigger the errors again. I have no guts to try this..

    But one thing I can tell you is that disabling NVDisplay.Container and just running with the latest drivers doesn't trigger this error at all. I was wondering whether updating to the latest Nvidia drivers without updating the Control Panel will stop the error?

    I don't know if it is the control panel or the driver responsible for the errors. Display Driver Uninstaller, I do not think will work as when I updated to 1909 from a clean install I made sure to disable automatic driver update by Windows Update and tried latest drivers and the errors were triggered regardless..

    But 1903 with old Nvidia 432 drivers are not causing these errors. I also noticed these errors were triggered when monitor will wake up from sleep, something that never happens under the older drivers unless NVDisplay.Container is disabled at windows startup.
    What part in my post regarding down grading the driver to certain versions not upgrading to latest was hard to get ? :)

    Btw this error only surface for 8xxx and 9xxx series if they install any version higher than 425.31

    And trust me , latest isn't always the greatest , try out 399.24 and notice the difference in game play

    I know this is almost a year old thread. Today, Windows 10 1903 was automatically updated to most recent Nvidia drivers.

    So basically while I have my Windows 10 1903 set to Specify Target 1903. After 8 months of being with Windows 10 1903 having 432 Nvidia Graphics Card drivers for my Gigabyte GTX 960 4GB GPU.

    Microsoft seemed to have auto updated my graphics card drivers to 512.15 (March 2022) drivers and this WMI Error has returned immediately following those driver updates.

    Those are the same old errors that I had previously. How do we stop Windows 10 from automatically updating the graphics card drivers without disabling Windows update altogether?

    Or has anyone identified a solution to those errors? Id = {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}; ClientMachine = DESKTOP-TJVRPR9; User = NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM; ClientProcessId = 1500; Component = Unknown; Operation = Start IWbemServices::ExecQuery - root\wmi : Select * from NvWmiBrightness; ResultCode = 0x8004100C; PossibleCause = Unknown

    Id = {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}; ClientMachine = DESKTOP-TJVRPR9; User = NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM; ClientProcessId = 1500; Component = Unknown; Operation = Start IWbemServices::ExecQuery - root\wmi : Select * from NvWmiBrightness; ResultCode = 0x8004100C; PossibleCause = Unknown

    Id = {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}; ClientMachine = DESKTOP-TJVRPR9; User = NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM; ClientProcessId = 2280; Component = Unknown; Operation = Start IWbemServices::ExecQuery - root\wmi : select * from WDMClassesOfDriver where Driver = "C:\\Windows\\system32\\drivers\\ndis.sys[MofResourceName]" and (HighDateTime != 0 or LowDateTime != 0); ResultCode = 0x80041032; PossibleCause = Unknown

    These are the 3 errors with the NvWmiBrightness showing 2 copies of the same error at system startup along with the second error.

    They all point Nvidia Control Panel with NvWmiBrightness.

    When I was on 432.00 Nvidia drivers, this problem never occurred, ever. This was one of the reasons why I never updated my graphics card drivers beyond version 432 as this error will get triggered.

    I know that if I do system restore or downgrade the drivers the errors will stop. But Windows 10 will upgrade the drivers again automatically. I did not expect that this will happen. I thought my version will remain on 432.00. But Microsoft forced upgraded the drivers via Windows update.

    I know driver uninstaller with Safe Mode will not work as I have already made this experiment previously without any luck.

    Anyone knows what are triggering those errors in the WMI-Activity Folder of Event Viewer? Also WMI Provider Host WmiPrvSE.exe will not leave Task Manager. It will constantly run in the background following the error trigger at startup.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Same exact issue here and it is driving me crazy. I am almost certain it has to do with the NVidia driver or container speaking to windows fast enough since I have pinpointed it to startup of the PC or when it comes back from sleep or monitors being off. Something is not communicating properly or fast enough, particularly when it comes back from idle sleep mode I get a full computer freeze/hang requiring hard reset 70% of the time and then you find in event manager all these error right before the hang. I can't believe this hasn't been resolved by NVidia by now smh...

    Good day for community members.

    In this link (inserted in the general support topic), we are also analyzing this error.
