how to determine type of monitor connection (HDMI vs DMI) remotely

I manage a system (windows 10) which I access via remote desktop. How can I determine whether its monitor is connected via HDMI or DVI? It does not have a discrete graphics card, so I'm hoping the info is in Control Panel somewhere. Also, is there a way to get the model of that monitor so I can see what other ports it has?

If the monitor's "drivers" have been installed, Device Manager will tell you what monitor it is. If not, it will probably appear as a generic PnP monitor.

Maybe the user of the PC can supply a model number for the monitor and/or the PC?

I have the impression that DVI is unlikely for onboard graphics, but I wouldn't bet much on that.
