Hi guys can I ask for some advice please I have a aging pc With a Nvidia GeForce GTX 260
My problem is I am trying to run a program and it says error message says GLSL version 4.50 or better is required an it says my version is 3.30
So has anyone got ideas what I need to do to resolve this problem I only want to use this computer for one job so I don’t want to spend loads of money?
Can anyone advise me please?

GeForce 8/9/100/200 and 300 series GPUs only implement OpenGL 3.3 at most, they do not have the hardware feature set/capability to support more recent OpenGL.
You are forced to replace the GPU for a newer one to get the latest OpenGL.

Hi thank you for the information i thought it would be something like that, so i will have to upgrade the Graphix card.
Have you got any idea as to the card i need upgrade to as i only need to use it a few times im not looking to spend a lot of money even a second hand one will be ok

The 710 cards are extremely low-end. The Quadro K620 is a bit better than the ancient (2008 launch) GTX 260. That may be the best choice if you're trying to minimize expense.
Hi guys i ordered a NVIDIA GeForce 710 GT 2GB and it arrived today but it is very small and will not fit on my Asus P6T SE motherboard as a direct replacement for my GTX 260.
I am looking to remove my GTX 260 and replace it with a better card just a straight swap would be good please some bobkn recommended the Quadro K620 would this be a direct replacement
