connecting second monitor
Microcenter only let me down on one issue, I stressed that I wanted be be able to run two monitors, able to move items from one screen to the next... would make projects so much easier
told them about my old LG, they said, "just plug it in"
but....
old LG has a DSUB (VGA?), DVI-D and HDMI
new has DSUB and HDMI
I used the one HDMI port on the new cpu for the new monitor, the only cord that came with it so...
I am short a connection/cord to connect the older monitor
MC sent links for a HDMI and adaptor but, won't show me shipping costs before I place the order
I've looked online and see discussions about making sure the adaptor makes the right connection and, can handle the right pixels, Hz for the monitor
I see a lot of options and brands, of course, Amazon is the source of choice from Brave, who seem to now be a reduced version of goolag...
anyone have advice?
and I hoped I had walked out of the store with everything I needed
is there anything I need to know about setting up having the two monitors work together?
I was told, "that is a standard today"
btw, what are the other two ports, says TypeC and "SS" ?
ss is a USB port? can I use any Device that uses USB?
do I understand that is a quick charging port or it stays "hot" to charge with even when the computer is off?
and the "type C" I see articles that suggest it also is USB port, but clearly a different shape
