should I download from nVidia's website or from the manufacturer's?

If the desktop reinstalls the system, to install the graphics card driver

Should I go to nVidia's website to download it, or should I go to the brand maker's website to download it?

What is the difference between the two drivers?

I've always had Nvidia vid cards... and I've always gone to Nvidia's website. This one to be exact...

    Advanced Driver Search | NVIDIA

For AMD I always go direct to their site as well. Like for my motherboard chipset drivers.

Most, if not all of the industry, recommends this as well. It's better to get the drivers from the people that wrote them.
In the few cases where an altered (brand makers), driver is required... there will be plenty of posts about it on the internet, explaining why.

For a desktop PC, I have never read of a manufacturer doing any modifications to discrete nVidia graphics cards that would require custom drivers. I suggest getting the drivers from nVidia directly. They'll be more up-to-date.

The story can be different for laptops. Some makers use custom device IDs, and the nVidia installer may not even recognize the graphics device.

I download the driver file from Nvidia then use NVCleanstall to install it without all the NVidia bloatware.

15 years and a half ago I had a desktop PC with an Asus GeForce 7800GTX Top Edition, the card required custom drivers from Asus to get its VIVO (Video In Video Out) feature working. For gaming, I was using the drivers I got from nVidia directly except only sometimes, if the game in question was the type that didn't really benefit from choosing to use these drivers, then it would not be worth the extra effort to switch the drivers and reboot Windows XP. But I still had to switch the drivers and reboot it anyway each time before running those heavier games with maximum performance (such as Far Cry, just to name only one example of a game that was highly GPU intensive).

VIVO - now there's a popular graphics card feature for 2021.

    Popularity is overrated anyway.

Yeah, a local pub near us is so popular, nobody goes there anymore.
