I have dual displays in Extended mode. Both are 4K. My main display is a 43" TV connected directly to the onboard HDMI. The secondary display is a 120" projector, connected from an NVIDIA 1070 TI, through a Yamaha TSR-7850 receiver.

Everything works as I would expect if I have the receiver powered off, or if I have the receiver set to the PCs HDMI port.

The problem is that if I switch the receiver to another port, such as my XBox, Windows 10 still seems to think that the secondary display is attached. Anything that was showing on the secondary display is not visible, and if I open an application that was last targeted at the secondary display, then it is off screen. I often use the NVIDIA card for graphics rendering, so I really need it to be dedicated for that purpose when I am not using that display.

What I am after is to have Windows 10 treat the secondary display as being off when I switch the receiver ports, the same way as if I had the receiver powered off. Not sure if this is a setting for the receiver, or something in Windows.
