Ok, here what I have done. I have another desktop computer. It is a HP 6750p and a couple years older. Bought it in 2003. It came with Windows XP, converted to Windows 7 and on to Windows 10. It is running great, no problems.
I removed the motherboard from my HP 6750p desktop. Installed it in the HP7-1510. It is amost the same Intel Processor., and it fit right into the case of the HP7-1510...Screwed right down to the exact screw holes. All the wiring fit also in place. Installed the 500 watt power supply also. In fact, I installed the complete running system from the HP6750p into the case of the HP7-1510. And I connected all the power cord, HDMI cable, and the keyboard and mouse, and turned on the PC. All fans runs, but no diplay to the monitor.
So, it's not the CPU that is not working on the HP7-1510 motherboard, it has to be something else, and that is where it is now a 64 million dollar question.

That you were able to swap motherboards is expected. The original one looks like a standard microATX board.

What were you using for graphics after the swap? Onboard or discrete card? How is the monitor connected?

I suggest running the original motherboard outside the case. The only trick will be turning it on. That can be done by momentarily shorting the correct two pins of the front panel header. Or, you can buy a little wiring harness that does the whole front panel schmeer. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JYX97Y6...roduct_details I've used one for a test setup, similar to what you may see on some review sites.

Seems mysterious. The interaction between the motherboard and the case should be fairly minimal. If something is shorting to the case, I don't know why it would suddenly appear in a working PC.

What stupid idiot decided to become a nutcase and "moved" this thread into the Graphic section? It doesn't have anything to do with a graphic cards. Bar none. Get it.
