    set geforce 930m as primary gpu vice intel gpu


    as the title says i wish that my laptop would use the G force GPU vice the intel GPU is there a hard setting i could use

    all help greatly appreciated

    This what you have: Optimus | Technology | GeForce

    I've never owned such a laptop, but there may be a setting in the nVidia control panel. (It may refer to "high performance", rather than explicitly mentioning the nVidia GPU.)

    Depends on the hardware and the UEFI/BIOS of the Laptop.The best thing to do is look in the UEFI/BIOS settings for a Graphics switch.

    If there is not one in there then you will have to use the Nvidia Control Panel on specific applications.

    The only ones there is any point in doing that are games as the integrated graphics are very competent for every other application.

    Mine is a Toshiba laptop and there is no UEFI/BIOS hardware switch, so my guess would be no, but obviously you will have to look.
