Bitcoin's value has been falling a bit lately. Crypto mining has been driving a lot of the gpu shortage, combined with the global chip shortage.

So us non-miners have a glimmer of hope that something beyond a placeholder may show up at a more reasonable price... sometime. I got into the EVGA queue (for an rtx3070 at msrp) about four months ago and lurk Best Buy/Micro Center. But still, the 3xxx series sell out almost the day they're in stock. One simply has to wait until the vicious cycle flattens.

How about "nice"? That's been around for quite a bit longer.
    A modest proposal:

Post as if what you write will be read by everyone, rather than the mostly male enthusiasts who hang out here.

There's a major difference between political correctness and good manners.

As a rare exception to my rule about NO POLITICS, I'll just observe that "good manners" is political correctness for earlier generations.

An interesting observation, if one that I can't agree with.

Is "common decency" also a form of political correctness?

    Again, yes.

By the way, I think that good manners and common decency ARE very important for a "happy" civil society. From my Baby Boomer viewpoint, we have less and less of that and society has declined as a result. I will refrain from commenting on which major political figures and leaders, if any, have contributed to this sad situation.

They might not. It looks like it might all go the way of NVME SOCs on lower power systems.
