    Yeah, that's "probably" not needed.
Guess I can go for a clean install? If it takes out my system.

So, I know Radeon is graphics for AMD, but could it possbly be on the motherboard?

I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow (it almost is already) before I do anything drastic.

My eyes are getting kinda gritty.

    Thanks for all the help.

In the old days, lots of motherboards had onboard graphics.
    Hardly any do, these days.

It's hard to tell though with HP... and I'm pretty burned out myself.

No probably about it, no AMD graphics then it is not needed. Can use this to get rid of it,

AMD Cleanup Utility to Remove AMD Driver Files | AMD

actually does a better job than DDU. Seeing as it is still showing in Add/Remove Programs it would be a safe bet that you didn't uninstall it before putting in the Nvidia card.

There hasn't been an AMD motherboard with integrated graphics on it since the old AM3/AM3+ days. Everything since then has been an APU of some kind.

Looking at your specs, your MB has integrated AMD Radeon graphics.

This is the link for the HP-8433 Sunflower MB.

The only "integrated graphics" it had came from the 2400G APU that was in it. Wynona has since switched it out for a R5 2600 which has no integrated graphics in it. There is no integrated graphics in or on the motherboard.

And now, after a few hours sleep, I'm ready to go at it again! After a couple more things . . .

    1. This is a dual boot system. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 21H1, Build 19043.1023 as Windows 10 Production.

    2. On the other partition, I'm running the latest Insider "Dev". Can't remember the Build number, but after posting this, I'll hop over there and back here to "fill in the blank".

    3. Although I get
    No Drivers for AMD-no-drivers.png
on my Production system, it doesn't happen on my Insider partition! What the hey???

    3. Motherboard - Sunflower 8433 SSID says Video - Integrated graphics, which is confusing at best. However, when reading the motherboard specs, I find no mention of onboard graphics. That should resolve the debate? Maybe? Hopefully?

    3. Graphics: S24D300 (1920x1080@60Hz); KA270H (1920x1080@60Hz); 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (EVGA). I'm assuming the first two specs are my monitors and the third one is my Nvidia card.

    4. Processor upgrade info as follows: I can upgrade to an AMD Ryzen5-2600 (Pinnacle Ridge) 6 cores/12 threads 65 W CPU.

At this point, I think it's safe to say that I should uninstall the AMD Radeon drivers.

    And you would be correct.

Thanks for the info and link to the Cleanup Utility, Stormy. Much appreciated, and with youse guys' help, I'm gonna get rid of that silly message that pops up every time I boot to my Production partition!

Thanks, Jim! But it looks like @stormy13 is correct.

I've been to that link before, which is where I got my upgrade info. With further investigation, here's what I've come up with from HP Support:

How many displays does the sunflower motherboard support?
Multi display support: 4 displays, up to 6. Full multi display support might require an active adapter. The Sunflower motherboard does not support integrated graphics. The motherboard supports 5.1 surround sound.

It's a good thing you didn't bet any money on it, then. Because that's exactly what's in this HP Pavilion 590-p0044 desktop.

Yes, I know the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 has no built-in Graphics. I do not have a Ryzen 2600H. The replacement CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6 Core, 12 Thread Processor. I bought and installed it myself, so I think I know what I have.

As my specs say, it's a desktop computer.

It is not a laptop. It is a desktop computer and is not low power. It has decent graphics, more than enough RAM and enough hard drive and SSD space for my needs.

I have built and/or upgraded my share of computers over the years. I installed this nVIDIA GeForce 1050 Ti graphics card because onboard graphics aren't ideal.
Hmmm. Touched a nerve, did I? Sorry. I relied on the specs you posted in "My Computer" rather than checking the HP model number. I wondered what was up, because you've been in this forum for a long time. I was pretty sure that you wouldn't post without mentioning whether the machine was a desktop or laptop. (The 1050 ti exists for both forms.)

Apparently you fixed the inconsistencies when you updated the specs (post 4). For a moment, before I noticed that, I thought that you were gaslighting me.

If I believe the specs, the base form of the Pavilion 590-p0044 uses onboard graphics - no discrete graphics card. (https://support.hp.com/us-en/product...ment/c06001583) I can't make that jibe with a"discrete graphics card required" sticker.

You may as well uninstall the Radeon drivers.

(Later.) I see that there has been a flurry of posting while I was preparing this. Looks like I added nothing to the discussion. I probably should delete it, but I won't, if only because of the bit of time I invested.

I was going to suggest updating the chipset drivers as well, but HP lists them as "Promontory FCH". I haven't the faintest idea what that might be.
