PC doesn't start and screen with 'grain' image

    Hello everybody,

I have a problem, that occurs sometimes with my PC desktop.
When I press the power button, the computers lights on, but in the screen appears "grain" (like I was tuning an analog TV).
And when this happens, the system won't start and there is a hardware noise (like static electricity).
After that, I turn the power off, and on again, and then computers start's normaly.
Can anyone help me with this?

You left out a very important part. What is the model number for your power supply? Since you are having an issue turning on the computer the P/S would be the first thing to check.

    You're right!
I've replaced the previews power supply in about a month, and now I have this one:
    Corsair CV-550W 80+ Bronze.

    1. Unplug your computer
    2. Take the side off your case
    3. Verify all cables are plugged in and not loose
    4. Unplug unnecessary items like HDD, DVD, and case fans
    5. Plug your computer back in
    6. Restart the computer and closely watch and listen for the noise you mentioned to see where it is coming from
