Will new Dell4K monitor work with old ASUS P8 H67-M EVO motherboard?

I built a windows 10 pro, 64 bit, desktop years ago using the ASUS P8 H67-M EVO motherboard, Intel i3. Is it possible for a new Dell 4K monitor to work with this setup? I am not very computer literate so I'll need layman advice. There are no video boards in the computer, just the motherboard.

Looking at pictures of the motherboard on the 'net shows it has both VGA and DVI outputs. If the new monitor has either one it should work. A lot depends upon what you do/want to do and whether the video adapter can give the support needed, that's always an issue when using older technology with the newer.

The computer is using HDMI to connect to the existing monitor. Wasn't sure if this motherboard would support the high resolution of 4K

I haven't checked this in enough detail, but I doubt that the motherboard/CPU are recent enough to support HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2, one of which would be needed to support 4k at 60 frames per second.

A 4k monitor would work, but probably not at its full resolution.

Can you afford a discrete (add-on) graphics card? Unfortunately, graphics cards are a bit hard to come by at reasonable prices at the moment. (Even fairly low-end cards, like an nVidia GT 1030.)
