    GTX 980Ti Causing black screen

    Hey All!

I'm after some help regarding my graphics card, when in game the screen will randomly go black, and then my screen will say no signal detected, so i have to hard reboot, and it will start again.

Any ideas where to start diagnostics? To see if it's an issue with the card itself.

It's an NVIDIA GeForce 980Ti, i have tried the latest drivers, and also the previous version.

    Thanks in advance.

I would try a few things...

    1. Reseat the vid card and the RAM.
    2. Use MSI Afterburner to keep the heat down on the vid card. (Adj. the fan curve, lower the voltage a bit)
    3. Redo the drivers...

    DDU Instructions - Nvidia
    1. Get this program, here: Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) | Wagnardsoft ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
    2. Get the Standard/Game Ready vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: Advanced Driver Search | NVIDIA ...save this to your desktop.
    Unhook the internet completely.
    3. Reboot into Safe Mode and run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you.
    4. After it's done, reboot to normal mode, then just double click the Nvidia driver to install. If it want's to reboot, let it.
    Rehook the internet.

I would try the 442.74 drivers. They are seriously stable.

Maybe try running Furmark. FurMark > Home

It will stress the graphics card. If you can get that to complete a run without the problem appearing, that suggests (but does not gurantee) that the card is OK.

Does the problem occur on all games, or only a specific one? If it's the latter, please name it.
