    AMD (ATI) HD 6XXXM / 7XXXM & INTEL HD Graphics 2000 / 3000 W10 Drivers

    Hello Everyone,

I have been having problems with leshcatlabs drivers with my old HP Pavilion DV6 laptop with AMD HD 6770M and Intel HD Graphics 3000. So I decided develop my own driver. I think driver is finally ready .

    - This driver is HP Pavilion DV4/DV6/DV7 based but I'm sure it will work good with other laptops too.

    - I tested Windows 10 drivers on Version 1809 Build 17763

    - This driver is not signed yet so make sure to turn on testing mode.

    - Turn off windows automatic driver update.

    - Install Intel driver first then restart and install AMD driver and restart again. (May need to restart one more time in some cases)

    - Always uninstall with DDU in safe mode.

    - Feel free to post your feedback.

Hi, thank you for your work! I have a question since I've been dealing with the drivers issue on my DV6-6190US since 2015. These drivers are the ONLY ones I managed to install, but there seems to be a problem. I attached some photos for you to see. Hope it helps somebody else.

    Hello,

It seems like wrong driver installation or testing mode is off or just needs one more restart.

    1. Is Dynamic Mode Enabled in bios?

    2. Did you turn on testing mode?
    If not:
    bcdedit.exe /set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
    bcdedit.exe /set testsigning ON
    bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks ON

    3. Do you know why Intel driver is disabled?

    Hello, thanks for your response.

    1. Yes, Dynamic was selected on BIOS. I tried FIXED (just in case) but no luck.

    2. Testing mode was ON. I used your script and then installed it via "Advanced Startup" and selected the option that doesn't require signed controllers.

    3. The intel driver appears disabled in that picture because I was testing many options. When I finished installing the intel and AMD drivers, I rebooted many times, but the error message from AMD kept appearing and the resolution was all wrong. All I can do is delete everything and ONLY use intel graphics 3000 and then disable the GPU, but there's no point doing that because when I disconnect the charger the screen start flickering and it's unusable.

Just in case, the model of the laptop is DV6-6190US

Your bios and windows options are okay.
Once you turned on testing mode you dont need to switch advanced startup for driver enforcement. Please do setup in normal startup with testing mode.
I have dv6-6150et (F1.B Bios) and its almost identical to your laptop. I am using intel 4459 and amd catalyst 14.1.
Can you try to uninstall intel and amd drivers with ddu in safe mode then restart and install intel driver, reboot, install amd driver and reboot again. No need for advanced startup.
I do know few people tried drivers and they are working.
I will check drivers and update them tomorrow.

Ok, I will try the new install this afternoon and post the result. Thank you!

Ok, so here are the results and the step by step I did:

    1. Uninstalled AMD Drivers with DDU (safe mode, DDU newer version).
    2. Reboot.
    3. Uninstalled INTEL Drivers with DDU (safe mode).
    4. Reboot.
    5. Another reboot to check if Dynamic mode was selected. It was.
    6. Open CMD as administrator and use the commands you pointed out for testing mode.
    7. Installed INTEL 4459 graphics. (The resolution changed and seemed OK.)
    8. Reboot. The resolution looked OK.
    9. Installed AMD 14.1 Catalyst. In the middle of the install, the screen goes black and the fan keeps spinning. Nothing else I can do.

Just in case, I tested this method with 2 motherboards (I bought one from Aliexpress and I have the original one, the same result). Hope there is something to do. Thanks for your support.

UPDATE: I uninstalled the AMD 14.1 and tried the Catalyst 14.2 version. The install finish and ask me to reboot the laptop. After the reboot, Windows 10 logo appears, and as soon as the login screen needs to load, the screen shows some lines and then black screen again with the fan spinning fast.

I updated and uploaded files however I didn't have time to check them. I will try to do a installation video.
Does official drivers from HP works in windows 7 or windows 8? Did you update your bios to F1.B?

Normally during installation of AMD drivers it is okay to have black screen for up to 5 minutes...

I'm downloading and will give them a try in a few hours. The official driver listed on HP website that works is only the INTEL 3000 one. None of the AMD work (black screen, same result). Also, The BIOS is uptaded to F1.B

I tried the intel driver and the same result. This driver by itself works. But any of the AMD ones don't work. I left the laptop with the black screen for 30 min every time and no change. Hope there is something to tweak. Thanks for your replies.

If you cannot use your gpu in windows 7 with official HP driver. It is high likely that your gpu is broken. Another way to check is using linux distro like Ubuntu. Switchable dynamic graphics for intel and amd works out of box in linux.

    In terminal (shell)

    To check your gpus:

    lspci -k | grep -A 2 -i "VGA"

    Try AMD card to render:

    DRI_PRIME=1 glxgears
