I just picked my son up an EVGA GT 740 SC. What are the correct drivers to use? The NVidia site offers the most recent driver but seems like I saw a post saying that was not correct for that card.
I know not the greatest by any means but anything is better than Intel graphics. I think my son can play the games he likes with it and that's what matters. Also, I got it without taking out a loan!
I found the specs from the manufacturer and you are right about the driver. I should have looked them up in the first place.
Edit: Turned out the card was DOA and the guy refunded my money. Ordered an MSI R7 250 2 GB off eBay for $40.00. It's better than nothing I guess. It should still play the games my son likes and we can get something better if prices ever come down.

If you are swapping from nVidia -> AMD I advise you to run Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) prior to installing the new card.
I appreciate the advice! It's an Intel system, a Dell Optiplex 790 I picked up the 790 and a 390 really cheap. I have ran Linux for the last 17 years but my son likes games, making Windows 10 a better choice. With the current graphics card situation and my budget, overclocking is a must as well.
I am going to check out DDU because you mentioned it and it was talked about on a YouTube channel I watch. Before I discovered the card was faulty, I had gone into device manager and removed Intel graphics than installed the GT 740.
