    I agree - there is a doubt, as to whether it reads as
    NO PROBLEM with the 391.35 install initially and NOW, or whether since trying to install the 461.40 there is now a problem with reinstalling the 391.35

    I asked if the system was 32bit or 64bit as some drivers are for both, whilst some are different for 32bit

    In fairness to Nvidia it is on the release notes for the later drive that the GT730 is not supported on Windows 10 if it has the Fermi GPU chip only the Kepler

    The earlier driver 391.35 is listed for 10 - for the Fermi or Kepler chip
    That was my error in suggesting the newer driver - I did not check

    With that in mind, providing the 391.35 can be installed - I do not think a clean install of Windows will produce any different results.

    Perhaps the other important question is - what is the actual make of the card, and full model details, so that we can check it has the Fermi chip

    I checked the model and it turns out it was the evga model EVGA GT 730 Low Profile Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database

    Cheers
    As I thought it was the Fermi chip with 96 cores
    I thought that would prove to be the case when it was suggested that yours may have been the 384 core Keplar chip
    ==============================================================================
    You are stuck with the windows - provided driver - no driver newer than the 391.35 will install
    You may find suggested tweaks for using the newer driver or indeed some offerings of modified drivers for that card.
    My advice is do not try them.

    ================
    So the important detail is as asked and queried
    Will the 391.35 install

    391.35 drivers are my current drivers so i dont think i need to install new ones. and when you say i am stuck with this version of windows, does that mean there is no solution to my problem? or can i just get a new graphics card?

    IMO, you can and should get a newer graphics card. The GT 730 was a dog on the day it was born, and hasn't gotten any more worthy since then.

    Indeed - when I say
    You are stuck with the windows - provided driver - no driver newer than the 391.35 will install
    I referred to the driver not the version of Windows

    So YES
    and when you say i am stuck with this version of windows, does that mean there is no solution to my problem? or can i just get a new graphics card?
    you certainly can get another card.

    The problem with that one is as I thought it is the Fermi chip.
    The link that was posted by my colleague for the Nvidia example showing the Keplar chip which does accept the newer driver - was NOT as you now know for your GT730 - I actually linked to your card on post 10 - but of course quite by luck.

    In regard to the new card you need to consider the PCI Express slot x16, slot on the board and the PSU requirement of the new card
    It is not a simple issue of simply buying the card

    The board is microATX if it is in a micro case you need to ensure the card will fit, I have little doubt that a full size one will NOT and that is why your present one is low profile,
    ECS H55H-M microATX Intel LGA1156 Motherboard Review - Page 2 of 7 - Legit Reviews Board Layout

    You need to check as I said the space available and your current PSU spec and the power required for the card
    Your present card uses the power from the slot which can only provide a max of 75 watts

    The GTX1060 will be better than what you have but it needs a separate power connection and you will not get the full benefit as it is PCIe 3.0 and your slot will not be 3.0 - but it will still be far better than what you have
    GeForce GTX 1060 Graphics Cards | NVIDIA GeForce
    120watt max for the card alone.,
    6GB of its own GDDR5 ram
    DO NOT forget to check the fit as you really need to ensure before you buy that it is fitting in the case

    Please see here for further details of cards on that board

    What card do you recommend for the system specs?

    Whatever card you want. Depends a lot on w/e games you want to play, and w/e resolution you want to run.

    If Valorant is the game with the highest requirements, I'd probably look for a GTX 960 or better.
    It'll also be limited by w/e card you can actually find.

    If you need a low profile card, your choices may be limited.

    @sdfghjksf

    Keep in mind that Windows may be corrupted as well.
    You got a message... the driver doesn't work with this version of Windows, which doesn't make any sense.

    Have you tried opening a command prompt as admin and running: sfc /scannow
    ...and: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Guru3D also has the older drivers... Videocards - NVIDIA GeForce Windows 7 | 8 | 10

    Have you read my post 15
    I have provided you with a number of links and indeed the list of graphic cards reported in use with your motherboard and including a recommendation if you can find a low profile on that will fit

    May I point out that the message - this driver is not compatible with our version of windows - is because the GT730 that is in use is the 96 core Fermi chip and the attempted install of the later driver produces the message as that driver is NOT for the Fermi chipped GT730 on windows 10
    as explained in the Nvidia release notes
    In fairness to Nvidia it is on the release notes for the later driver that the GT730 is not supported on Windows 10 if it has the Fermi GPU chip only the Kepler chip is supported for that later driver.
