    Game freezes

    SPECS


    • OS: Windows 10 - 64-Bit
    • CPU: AMD FX-6100, Intel i5-3570, or equivalent
    • RAM: 8 GB
    • GRAPHICS CARD: AMD Radeon R9 285, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, or equivalent
    • HARD DRIVE: 15 GB
    • DIRECTX: 11

    I'd hoped someone familair with the game would post.

    An I7-920 seems to be similar in performance to an I3-3220, which is the minimum Intel CPU recommended. (Seems hard to believe, but the 920 was launched in 2008.) I doubt that's the issue, though.

    Can you get through a Furmark run without a crash? FurMark > Home

    It turned out to be a windows update. I updated the driver and the card started working
    Just updated windows again and boom. freeze/crash. ah ha! a 3/16 NVIDIA update. Installed...but I am still crashing. I guess I roll back the windows update.
