No. In that case, a lower resolution is the solution.
VGA can't "help" with that. It does things differently, yes, but that's because you're not using the same settings (like resolution, scaling). You should. Same or lower res, higher refresh rate and proper scaling. The latter is also very important because the default scaling settings do not always result in a 1:1 fill, especially not with older tvs.
I'm sure the end result will be better than with vga. But of course, if you want to settle with VGA, that's your call. We're just giving you perspective here. :)
I use it while I'm doing my morning exercises & getting dressed and when I'm getting ready for bed and before I go to sleep. It's good enough for that.
