One HDMI port won't give display

Hey I have bought a used slim ps3 and when I tried to output it's video to my viewsonic 27" led it failed so I thought maybe the cable is damaged, changed two other cables but no luck. Then I tried to plug the other port HDMI cable which was inserted into PC graphic card and it worked. Used the very same cable into other HDMI port on LED and it didn't work. Thought maybe the other port is faulty and took it to a repairing shop. He checked it and said it's okay Even I saw xbox output on that same HDMI port. Came back home only to find the similar issue. What's wrong here?

Did you see output to a display on that HDMI port, not XBOX?

Yeah that port worked fine there when he connected an xobox into that HDMI1 port.

Have you tried connecting the PS3 HDMI output to another display? From your description I can't tell.
Does the PS3 have any other video connector, Display Port or DVI or VGA?

PS3 only has hdmi and av outputs, I don't have AV cable or another display which has HDMI port.

The ps3 has only 2 output options:
1. HDMI
2. AV
I don't have another HDMI display and neither the av cable.

Not sure how you would do that if you don't see anything on the TV but maybe you could do it by guesswork?

Well The monitor doesn't have any remote, It's a computer monitor but I can switch the inputs using side buttons. That doesn't help because there's no signal from ps3 or pc on that HDMI port.

You need to connect the PS3 to another monitor, only way to test it. Friend, family member?

are you sure that the PS3 you bought is in good working condition?

Yup, I played it last night for 3 hours on the other HDMI port.
P.S> My PC won't work on HDMI1 either.
